Energy for Education è un volume fotografico che raccontai progetti per l’accesso all’istruzione e alla formazione sviluppati in alcuni Paesi a cui siamo legati da una lunga storia di amiciziae collaborazione.
L’istruzione è la chiave per vivere appieno il presente e plasmare il futuro, un volano economico per i Paesi, che permette alle persone di ampliare le proprie prospettive, e alle comunità di superare le barriere sociali, economiche e geografiche.
Secondo l’Unicef oltre 600 milioni di bambini e adolescenti non riescono a raggiungere livelli minimi di istruzione. Nonostante siano stati compiuti progressi significativi nell’accesso universale all’istruzione primaria, sono ancora milioni i bambini al mondo che ne restano esclusi.
Energy for Education
Un nuovo viaggio fotografico in 12 Paesi. Un racconto per immagini di progetti e iniziative Eni per l’accesso universale all’istruzione e alla formazione di qualità.
Il percorso fotografico di questa pubblicazione vuole condividere lo sguardo di Eni verso l’istruzione e la formazione, come fattore di crescita umana, economica e sociale.
In linea con SDG nr 4 dell’Agenda 2030 delle Nazioni Unite "Fornire un’educazione di qualità, equa ed inclusiva, e opportunità di apprendimento per tutti” proponiamo un modello di educazione inclusivo e olistico, a beneficio di bambini e bambine, adolescenti e giovani adulti.
I nostri progetti educativi sono sviluppati in collaborazione con i governi nazionali e i loro piani ministeriali e, in base alle priorità da essi definite, possono includere diversi livelli di istruzione:
istruzione primaria e secondaria
università e alta formazione
formazione tecnica e professionale
iniziative didattiche e di sensibilizzazione
Come mostriamo in questo volume e nel Report di Sostenibilità Eni for 2022, le nostre iniziative spaziano dalla fornitura di materiale scolastico al rafforzamento delle competenze didattiche dei docenti, come in Costa d’Avorio e Indonesia. In alcuni Paesi ristrutturiamo scuole, come in Mozambico, nella Repubblica del Congo, in Messico, in Ghana e in Tunisia o ne miglioriamo l’efficienza energetica attraverso l’utilizzo di tecnologia solare come in Kazakistan; in altri, costruiamo edifici ex novo, come in Iraq e in Nigeria, dove abbiamo promosso il trasferimento di competenze agricole innovative. Al centro dei nostri programmi, anche corsi tecnici e professionali e percorsi di alta formazione attraverso i quali introduciamo giovani adulti al mondo dell’energia e alle opportunità lavorative legate alla transizione energetica. In Egitto, ad esempio, abbiamo inaugurato una scuola che offre cinque diverse specializzazioni in ambito energetico e tecnologico.
Infine, l’educazione è al centro della nostra cultura aziendale. Agli inizi c’era la Scuola Mattei, una fucina di saperi legati all’energia per le nuove classi dirigenti, diventata oggi il cuore di un corso annuale di eccellenza, il cui focus si è ampliato fino a comprendere anche le tematiche ambientali. Poi è venuta Eniscuola, nata alla fine degli anni ‘80 per avvicinare i giovani al tema dell’energia, un progetto che si è evoluto insieme al settore, allargando sempre di più lo sguardo alle tematiche della sostenibilità e dell’economia circolare. In linea con questo percorso, nel 2001 abbiamo lanciato Eni Corporate University (ECU), una società vocata interamente alla formazione professionale; un progetto di ampio respiro che guarda all’Italia e all’estero, abbracciando i Paesi in cui siamo presenti per formare il futuro dell’energia: colleghi di lungo corso, neoassunti, partner, per creare una cultura d’impresa comune.
