Eni presenta la 19ᵃ edizione della World Oil, Gas and Renewables Review, la rassegna statistica mondiale su petrolio, gas naturale e fonti rinnovabili.
San Donato Milanese (Milano), 27 novembre 2020 – Eni presenta la 19a edizione della World Oil, GasandRenewables Review, la rassegna statistica mondiale su petrolio, gas naturale e fonti rinnovabili.
La World Oil, Gas and Renewables Review vuole essere uno strumento utile per una più profonda comprensione dei fondamentali del settore energetico ed evidenzia i crescenti trend di decarbonizzazione, con l’obiettivo di aiutare a individuare le azioni necessarie per affrontare la sfida climatica.
Nel 2019, la domanda globale di petrolio registra ritmi di crescita inferiori a quelli degli ultimi 10 anni (+0,8% vs +1,4%), la domanda globale di gas si espande trainata dall’Asia-Pacifico (+4,3%) e dal Nord America (+2,7%) e, nel settore delle rinnovabili, il solare continua a mantenere il primato nella crescita di capacità installata, con un aumento annuo del 20%.
La pubblicazione comprende due volumi:
la World Oil Review, dedicata a riserve, produzioni, consumi, commercio e prezzi del petrolio, con un focus particolare sulla qualità dei greggi e sull’industria della raffinazione;
la World Gas and Renewables Review, che evidenzia i principali trend del mercato del gas e delle rinnovabili (solare, eolico e biocarburanti).
La domanda globale di petrolio ha continuato a crescere nel 2019 ma a una velocità inferiore rispetto a quella degli ultimi 10 anni (+0,8% vs +1,4%).
Nel 2019 le tensioni geopolitiche e le preoccupazioni circa il commercio tra Stati Uniti e Cina hanno avuto un impatto limitato sull’equilibrio di offerta/domanda e sul prezzo del Brent (64 $/b) che è stato di circa 7 $/b più basso di quello registrato nel 2018.
“Crescita zero” della produzione mondiale di petrolio nel 2019 a causa dei tagli del gruppo OPEC+ che hanno controbilanciato la crescita della produzione statunitense, che è aumentata di un ulteriore 11% andando a erodere la quota di mercato dell’OPEC.
Nel 2019 la qualità dei greggi ha registrato una forte discontinuità con una grande riduzione dei greggi “medium & sour”, che ha contributo all’alleggerimento del barile medio prodotto. Il bilancio della qualità dei greggi ha mostrato una riduzione dell’offerta dei greggi mediumheavy (i tagli dell’OPEC, Iran e Venezuela) e un ulteriore rialzo dei relativi differenziali di prezzo.
L’Asia-Pacifico guida la crescita globale della capacità di raffinazione, rappresentando quasi il 90% dell’incremento di 1,5 Mb/g rispetto al 2018.
Nel 2019, per il decimo anno consecutivo, la domanda globale di gas ha continuato a crescere trainata dall’Asia-Pacifico (+4,3%) e dal Nord America (+2,7%). La Cina si è confermata primo importatore mondiale.
La produzione globale di gas è cresciuta ulteriormente nel 2019 (+3,1%), nonostante il calo in Europa (-6,5%), principalmente per l’avvio dei nuovi impianti GNL negli Stati Uniti e in Australia. Durante il 2019, gli Stati Uniti, superando il Qatar, sono diventati il secondo esportatore mondiale di gas dopo la Russia.
Il GNL, dopo un grande incremento, rappresenta ora il 38% del totale del gas scambiato guadagnando un ulteriore 4% nell’ultimo anno (34% nel 2018).
L'energia solare ha continuato a mantenere il primato nella crescita di capacità installata tra le fonti rinnovabili, con un aumento annuo del 20% (quasi il doppio rispetto al 10,5% dell'eolico).
Nel 2019, l'Asia ha confermato il suo primato nella crescita della capacità solare installata (circa il 60% del totale) e la Cina ha mantenuto la leadership nella capacità solare ed eolica.
