Per Eni è una conferma del positivo rapporto di collaborazione sviluppatosi con l'Università Bocconi e, più in generale, con il sistema universitario italiano e internazionale con cui sono state siglate numerose partnership in ambito formativo e di ricerca e sviluppo.
Il blocco, che si estende per circa 5900 chilometri quadrati, presenta un'elevata potenzialità ed è situato in un’area in cui si sono registrati di recente importanti successi esplorativi.
L'ingresso in Kenya rafforza la presenza di Eni nell'esplorazione dei bacini di frontiera dell'Africa orientale, che ha portato alla recente scoperta di ingenti volumi di gas naturale nelle acque profonde del Mozambico.
Dopo una prima fase di ramp-up, il giacimento produrrà circa 4,8 milioni di metri cubi di gas al giorno, dei quali 1,7 (circa 11.000 barili di olio equivalente al giorno) di spettanza Eni.
Karachaganak è un giacimento giant che produce petrolio, condensati e gas naturale con riserve recuperabili stimate in 5 miliardi di boe. La produzione di Karachaganak nell'anno è stata di 239 mila barili/giorno di liquidi (64 mila in quota Eni) e 24 milioni di metri cubi/giorno di gas naturale (circa 7 milioni in quota Eni).
Si stima che nel bacino Song Hong, dove recentemente sono state registrate scoperte significative, sia presente il 10% delle risorse di idrocarburi del Vietnam, prevalentemente gas
L'intesa rientra nell'ambito del quadro strategico siglato il 25 aprile tra le due compagnie, in base al quale Eni e Rosneft costituiranno delle joint venture (Eni 33,33%, Rosneft 66,67%) per lo sviluppo congiunto delle licenze Fedynsky e Tsentralno-Barentsevsky, situati nell’offshore russo del Mare di Barents, e Zapadno-Cernomorsky, nell’offshore russo del Mar Nero.
Il prestito, destinato agli investitori istituzionali, sarà collocato compatibilmente con le condizioni di mercato e successivamente quotato alla borsa di Lussemburgo.
Le obbligazioni saranno quotate presso la Borsa di Lussemburgo. L'operazione ha riscosso successo in Italia e all'estero, in un mercato ancora caratterizzato da elevata volatilità.
