Eni, aggiornamento su COVID-19: revisione delle attività programmate per il 2020 e 2021

L’AD di Eni, Claudio Descalzi: “Misure per difendere solidità bilancio e dividendo”
San Donato Milanese (MI), 25 marzo 2020 – Eni, rispetto a quanto comunicato al mercato il 18 marzo scorso, ha completato in anticipo la revisione del piano di attività indotto dalla forte riduzione dei prezzi delle commodity e dai vincoli oggi prevedibili derivati dalla pandemia di COVID-19.
In particolare, nel 2020 Eni ridurrà i capex di circa 2 miliardi di euro, pari al 25% del totale previsto a budget e gli opex di circa 400 milioni di euro. Per il 2021, si prevede una riduzione dei capex di circa 2,5- 3 miliardi di euro, pari al 30-35% di quanto previsto per lo stesso anno a piano.
I progetti interessati dagli interventi riguardano principalmente le attività upstream, in particolare quelle relative all’ottimizzazione della produzione e ai nuovi progetti di sviluppo il cui avvio era previsto a breve. In entrambi i casi l’attività potrà essere riavviata velocemente al ripresentarsi delle condizioni ottimali, e con essa il recupero della produzione correlata. Per effetto di questa manovra e dello scenario particolarmente depresso, la produzione nel 2020 è prevista tra 1,8 e 1,84 milioni di barili di olio equivalente al giorno, e rimarrà invariata l’anno successivo.
L’Amministratore delegato di Eni, Claudio Descalzi, ha commentato: “Mettiamo in campo questi interventi con l’obiettivo di difendere la solidità del nostro bilancio e del dividendo, preservando al contempo i più alti standard di sicurezza sul lavoro”.
