Eni si impegna a realizzare il suo primo parco eolico all’estero in Kazakhstan

Oggi Eni ha firmato la Final Investment Decision (FID), per costruire, sviluppare e gestire il sito di Badamsha, un parco eolico da 50 MW situato a nord-ovest del Kazakhstan. Questo progetto rappresenta il primo grande investimento su larga scala nella tecnologia eolica per l'azienda.
San Donato Milanese (MI), 12 giugno 2018 – Oggi Eni ha firmato la Final Investment Decision (FID), per sviluppare, costruire e gestire il sito di Badamsha, un parco eolico da 50 MW situato a nord-ovest del Kazakhstan. Questo progetto rappresenta il primo grande investimento su larga scala nella tecnologia eolica per l'azienda.
I lavori di costruzione dell'impianto, situato nella regione di Aktobe, inizieranno nei prossimi mesi e la società prevede la conclusione del progetto e l’allacciamento alla rete entro la fine del 2019. Il parco eolico fornirà alla Regione una produzione annuale di energia circa 198 GWh. Il piano di progetti rinnovabili di Eni comprende investimenti in tutto il mondo nel campo solare, eolico e ibrido per 1,2 miliardi di euro nei prossimi quattro anni.
Badamsha rappresenta il primo tangibile passo dopo la firma del Memorandum of Understanding siglato da Eni con General Electric (GE) e il Ministro dell'Energia, Kanat Bozumbayev, per promuovere lo sviluppo di progetti di generazione di energia da fonte rinnovabile in Kazakhstan. Lo scorso giugno Eni aveva firmato una serie di accordi di cooperazione strategica sia nel settore dell’Upstream che in quello delle energie rinnovabili con lo scopo di supportare la crescita economica sostenibile del Paese.
Eni è presente in Kazakhstan dal 1992, è attualmente co-operatore del giacimento di Karachaganak ed equity partner in vari progetti nel Mar Caspio settentrionale, incluso il giacimento giant di Kashagan. Eni è inoltre co-operatore nel blocco esplorativo Isatay, con la società nazionale KMG.
