Eni is a partner of the Ministerial Conference on Energy "as a factor in sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa", from 13-14 October. The Conference, which is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, aims to examine the state of progress of the Italy-African initiative during Italy’s six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Among the issues that will be at the centre of the ministerial session dedicated to the Energy-Environment sector, will be investment prospects for the electrical and renewable energy sectors in the African continent, the involvement of Italian companies in these sectors and the experience of working together with African partners.

Technical seminar Dialogue forum with the Private Sector in the off-grid renewable energy market, in collaboration with the Africa-EU Energy Partnership, of which Italy is co-president
- Tuesday, 14 October
Ministerial Conference Italy-Africa, working together for a sustainable energy future, during which a presentation will be made for the first time of the Africa Energy Outlook by the "World Energy Outlook", the prestigious publication of the International Energy Agency
The Italy-Africa Initiative has been promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, aims to:
- build awareness within all areas of the European Union, including the parliament, of the problems facing Africa and the increase the willingness to effectively face them;
- launch initiatives on the field in Africa, also of an economic nature, in order to create new opportunities in loco for growth and stability;
- pursue action in the areas of "institution building", "governance" and the "rule of law".
