We operate in France in the natural resources sectors, in chemicals with Versalis and in energy production from renewable sources with Plenitude, through which we contribute to the energy transition. The photovoltaic park in Athies-Samoussy, which was built in the north of the country, is the largest in the Hauts-de-France region and is one of the 10 largest solar energy plants in France. We produce and distribute natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and electricity. Even the distribution of fuels, lubricants, additives and the sourcing of biomethane are part of our business in the country.

BioenergyOur presence in France focuses on the production, supply and sale of natural liquefied gas, electricity, fuels and lubricants. The solar park in Athies-Samoussy, consisting of 5 photovoltaic plants, contributes to increasing renewable energy generation capacity in line with our strategy for decarbonisation. The project promotes boosting employment, involving local and regional organisations. We are also developing partnerships with farmers to propose agri-voltaic projects and build photovoltaic roofs. With Plenitude, we are developing the sustainable mobility sector by installing and managing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles – both public and private – powered by certified renewable energy and offered through the Plenitude On the Road service.
We generate renewable energy, supply gas and electricity to households and industry, and supply the market with high-tech lubricants and fuels.
