On 14 March Eni will be a partner of the seminar partner “The Wellbeing of Citizens and the Competitiveness if the Productive System‘, organised by the CER, Centro Europa Ricerche e Nomisma.
The seminar, which will take place from 10 am at the Istituto della Enciclopedia in Rome, aims to underline that the “reacquisition‘ of Italian competitiveness needs to be seen in the broadest context, and not merely as market competitiveness, but also in terms of the comparative performance of infrastructure and public services.
The initiative is the result of the cooperation of the CER, a research institute that for more than thirty years has conducted economic studies and analysis, with a particular focus on issues relating to national and European political economy, the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana founded by Giovanni Treccani and Nomisma the economic research institute.
After the initial welcome address by Giorgio Ruffolo chairman of CER and Pietro Modiano president of Nomisma, the speakers will include Marcello Messori, from the University of Roma Tor Vergata - CER, Giuliano Amato, president of the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana and Romano Prodi, chairman of the Fondazione per la Collaborazione tra i Popoli.
During the second session, the speakers will include Paolo Guerrieri, from the University of Roma La Sapienza - CER, Pier Carlo Padoan, Deputy Secretary General, Chief Economist OECD and Sergio De Nardis, Chief Economist Nomisma. Subsequently the debate will be open for questions from the floor.
