Overview

Netherlands
In the Gas & Power sector, The Netherlands is one of our biggest suppliers of natural gas while in the Refining & Marketing sector Eni is active throughout Benelux with the associate company Eni Benelux BV.

Gas & Power

The Netherlands has long-term contracts with Eni and is one of its largest suppliers of natural gas, along with Russia, Algeria, Libya and Norway. Dutch gas is delivered to Bocholtz, on the German border and transported by the TENP and TRANSITGAS pipelines which reach Passo Gries on the Italian border by crossing through Germany and Switzerland. Transport capacity available at the entrance point in Passo Gries is about 64 million cubic metres per day. In 2011 Eni sold its shares in the importation gas pipelines from North Europe (TENP and Transitgas) in line with agreements signed on 29th September 2010 with the European Commission. Eni’s ship-or-pay contracts are still in force. In 2014 supplies of natural gas attributed to Eni from The Netherlands amounted to 11.73 billion cubic metres per year, 14% of total supplies.
