Equestrian sports take centre stage in Rome with Piazza di Siena 2026
From 27 to 31 May 2026, the monumental setting of Villa Borghese will once again host the prestigious CSIO Rome – Piazza di Siena International Horse Show, in its 92nd edition. This year too, Eni renews its commitment, reaffirming the strong connection between sport, culture and sustainability. For Eni, supporting events like this means recognising sport as a vehicle for both personal and collective growth – a universal language capable of bringing together different generations and cultures. Sport is also a powerful means of promoting shared values such as respect, cooperation and environmental protection. Investing in initiatives that combine sporting excellence with civic commitment is an integral part of Eni’s identity as a company.
This year’s edition coincides with the celebrations for 100 Years of Energy and is a special occasion for a series of initiatives linked to the 100th edition of the show.
The “Piazza di Siena” Horse Show, established in 1926, is now one of the most renowned equestrian events on the international calendar. It is also distinguished by its focus on the protection and promotion of Villa Borghese. Since 2018, a major restoration project has been under way, promoted by Sport e Salute and FISE and carried out by Roma Capitale, which includes the creation of a permanent arena. In 2022, the ring adjacent to the oval ring where the show is held was grassed over, expanding the competition area and creating a new green space.
The Eni family is present with ALT Stazione del Gusto, a restaurant format created through a collaboration between Enilive and the Niko Romito Academy. During the event, visitors can discover and taste ALT's food offerings at a dedicated food truck and a branded stand, where it is possible to learn more about the project and receive personalized items.
Eniscuola’s creative workshop, together with the Liceo Artistico Pablo Picasso, will also play an important role, taking part in the Eni Stage with an event dedicated to the project “Disegna l’energia del salto” (“Capture the energy of the jump”). The initiative explores the representation of movement in sport and the idea of energy through art and creativity.
