Innovative programmes to share Eni's values and develop strategic skills.
Training our people is a key driver of strategic success. This is why we work closely with our businesses to devise and define a broad portfolio of technical and HSEQ training courses, cross-functional courses and people empowerment courses, in line with Eni's strategic development paths and using the most innovative methodologies.
In addition to our extensive catalogue and to open courses that are always freely accessible to all our people through a dedicated platform, we also deliver tailor-made training initiatives, designed according to the specific needs of our counterparts and fully customisable, as well as long-term learning programmes in key areas such as HSEQ, Engineering and General Management.
We use different formats depending on requirements, offering courses at our premises or on site, webinars, e-learning or blended learning programmes.
With “Eni Academy” and “Welcome for Expert”, new hires at the start of their careers and more experienced professionals can discover Eni and its satellite model, thus building a solid network. Through a cross-functional familiarisation programme with our businesses and activities, new Eni colleagues can gain access to an accelerated integration pathway, supported by engagement with more senior professionals who are members of Eni’s Internal Faculty, the beating heart of the company’s know-how. In this way, the curiosity of those at the beginning of their journey with the company combines with the generosity of more experienced colleagues, creating a virtuous circle of mutual enrichment.
For Eni, safety always comes first, including in training.
Since 2009, we have offered an eight-month first-level Master’s degree in "Management of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality". The programme is open to Italian and international participants and is delivered in collaboration with the University of Pisa and with the University Consortium for Quality and Innovation Engineering (QUINN), which directly manages the application process.
Through this initiative, with its marked international scope, we promote HSEQ culture by providing technical and practical competence for the management of complex HSEQ systems, with a particular focus on social sustainability.
In addition, we organise courses for our people that encourage safer behaviour both inside and outside the workplace. Through the Behavioural Safety and Environmental Coaching programme, we aim to strengthen our safety culture: a dedicated BS&E coach provides support, guidance and instruction to individuals or teams within the organisation.
To further strengthen technical expertise, our people can attend specialist refresher courses and, thanks to onthejob learning, receive guidance from more experienced colleagues as they develop their daytoday practical skills.
Innovation is essential to address the challenges faced by the energy sector. We therefore constantly update our training offer, paying particular attention to emerging technologies and to new trends of greatest relevance for our businesses.
We use the most advanced digital technologies to work more effectively and efficiently, integrating AI systems where possible and providing introductory programmes for all our people.
We propose training solutions aligned with the objectives, needs and learning styles of our people. To make our initiatives more effective, we use cutting-edge methodologies, immersive webinars, gamification tools and a dedicated television studio designed to produce innovative and engaging content.
The diversity of Eni, with around 32,000 people operating in more than 60 countries worldwide, is a key strength that drives us to create an inclusive working environment in which everyone can perform at their best and feel free to express their authenticity. Among the many initiatives to promote our values, we have launched “D&I matters”, a course open to all Eni employees offering modular and interactive training focused on inclusive language, self-limiting beliefs, bias and Artificial Intelligence.
