Relations with universities and training institutions
With ECU, we deliver comprehensive training programs, supporting the development of managerial, cross-functional and technical skills for our people.
Eni Corporate University (ECU) provides targeted training to support people’s development, both professionally and personally, building their competences in the context of the energy transition, technological innovation and sustainability, and equipping them with the instruments that enable them to feel part of a global community.
Training and development has been fundamental in Eni, right from the time of Enrico Mattei , Mattei placed his trust in the contribution that people could make to the company’s growth. For him it was an essential part of the secret of Eni's success, due to the speed with which he managed to set up and put in place a formidable network of technical specialists and managers. With that same vision, in 2001 Eni Corporate University (ECU) was founded to provide training, ensuring the monitoring, dissemination and development of the business culture.
The aim is to deliver continuous learning programmes to strengthen and develop our people’s skills through innovative learning methods.
Eni Corporate University’s activities are based on five fundamental principles:
Our training offering covers all areas (technical, HSE, behavioural, institutional) and spans people’s entire working life.
We work in partnership with Eni’s businesses to design and implement the best solutions to diverse learning needs, in line with corporate objectives.
As well as an extensive training catalogue, we also design customised programmes. These are delivered using the most innovative methods and new technologies.
We have built an Internal Faculty and develop it continuously to promote and capitalise on Eni’s distinctive know-how. We draw on Knowledge Management initiatives to enhance our internal knowledge.
We have set up partnerships with outstanding training institutions in Italy and worldwide. In addition, we work with schools and meet with students from the early years of secondary school onwards.
