Eni signs up to the Startup Europe Partnership (SEP) platform and, together with Mind the Bridge, begins choosing start-ups from around the world

Eni is taking part in the Scaleup Summit at Borsa Italiana in Milan on 11 and 12 March. Its aim is to find the best open innovation start-ups in Europe and develop joint projects in the fields of decarbonization, the circular economy and safety at work.

San Donato Milanese (MI), 11 March 2019 – Eni has signed up to a pan-European open innovation platform, Startup Europe Partnership (SEP), led by international advisory firm Mind the Bridge. Launched in 2014 at the World Economic Forum in Davos, SEP's aim is to create synergy between the best innovative start-ups in Europe by connecting them with big companies and the main international stock markets.

The first event for Eni is the Scaleup Summit in Milan, which will take place on 11 and 12 March at Borsa Italiana's headquarters in Palazzo Mezzanotte. This will be followed by Summits at the London, Stuttgart and Madrid stock exchanges (in June, October and December, respectively).

Through the SEP programme, Eni aims to find innovative digital solutions that will help it achieve its goals of decarbonization, spreading circular economic models and environmentally sustainable practices, as well as further improving safety in its plants and workplaces.

The initiative is part of Eni's strategy to speed up its digital transformation by working with the best start-ups in Italy and other countries, and to help develop a positive network of potential leaders in technological innovation within sectors it considers strategic.
