San Donato Milanese, 22nd May 2015 - Eni and its CEO Claudio Descalzi were honoured by the Foreign Policy Association with the prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2015.
The award is assigned to those companies and individuals who have distinguished themselves for outstanding contribution to sustainable development in the territory in which they operate and in corporate social responsibility.
The mission of the Foreign Policy Association, founded in 1918, is based on the development of knowledge and understanding, and the dissemination of information on US foreign policy and issues of global interest. Investment in human resources, focus on the environment, community development, culture and technological innovation are all values which have led Eni and Claudio Descalzi to win this prestigious award.
This award reflects Claudio Descalzi’s 30 years commitment to corporate social responsibility now considered a core competency in all multinational companies.
The Foreign Policy Association Corporate Social Responsibility Award is also a further confirmation of Eni's ability to combine the company’s needs with those of local communities with a constructive spirit and social consciousness, a way of operating which has always been an integral part of Eni's history since Enrico Mattei’s days.
