Eni and ISPAC sign a research agreement on anti - bribery programs

San Donato Milanese (MI), 25 October 2011 - Eni signed today, under the aegis of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crome (UNODC), a research agreement on anti-bribery programs with the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme (ISPAC).

The research on "Anti-corruption and the private sector - the role of corporate anti-bribery programs", will be conducted by experts from Eni’s legal department and five academic institutions coordinated by ISPAC. Eni is the first company to participate in this kind of project and the results of this research will be made available to the scientific community, the private sector and the international institutions.

Through this program Eni with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the LUISS, the Collège de France, the Universidad de Castilla - La Mancha and the Northeastern University, will contribute significantly to the definition of a system of anti - bribery compliance and to the identification of international best practices in the field of anti - corruption.

The research agreement is an important international initiative encouraging cooperation between the public and private sectors with regards to the prevention of bribery, and is further evidence of Eni’s commitment to fighting corruption.
