Rome,17 May 2013 - Eni is a partner in the Gemelli Insieme project, an initiative created by the Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli to promote a preventative health programme for the citizens of the capital.
Supporting the health and safety of Eni employees and the wider community is a major part of Eni’s execution of its activities. This is why the company adopts specific programmes to prevent and reduce risks in order to support the health of the populace and to protect the external environment. For these reasons, Eni supports the Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli in this initiative, which seeks to raise public awareness and is committed to promoting a culture of good health in every age group, setting in motion a virtuous cycle.
Gemelli Insieme aims to introduce the new face of the Policlinico A. Gemelli, which is organising its own points of care in health centres to coincide with its 50th anniversary in 2014, and to initiate projects for the prevention of disease. The initiative will last a year and will cover various areas around Rome. The project will also be an opportunity to assess the results of medical research initiatives and scientific conferences promoted in conjunction with the Faculty of Medicine of the Università Cattolica.
Eni’s goal is to combine its vocation as a large enterprise with the social and cultural fabric of the countries in which it operates; an activity that is rooted in mutual dialogue and sharing. Eni is one of the largest integrated energy companies in the world, present in 90 countries with 78,000 employees. Each of its actions is characterised by a strong commitment to sustainable development: valuing people, contributing to the development and well-being of the communities in which it operates, protecting the environment, investing in technology innovation, pursuing energy efficiency and reducing the risks of climate change.
