As an evidence of the attention and efforts in fighting corruption, through its General Counsel Massimo Mantovani, Eni is playing an active role in the initiative organized  by the  United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC ), the OECD and the B20 during the 5th Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).

The initiative consists in a round table (Panama City on 27 November 2013) on possible regulatory developments to enhance the private sector’s role in the fight against corruption in a global business context.

The round table, as mentioned in the recommendations of the B20/G20 held in Russia in June 2013, intends to serve as a forum of representatives from the private sector and from the authorities of certain jurisdictions to have an open discussion on identifying concrete actions and solutions to encourage voluntary disclosure, self-reporting and active co-operation with law enforcement authorities by companies as well as to diminish and remove disincentives to such co-operation.
