Rome, April 9 2011 – Eni, considering the dire emergency situation on the island of Lampedusa following extraordinarily massive migration flows, decided to support Pelagie island families and the economy by reducing fuel costs.
Accepting the Prime Minister, Region President and local institutions’ invitation, formalised by the Prefecture of Agrigento, eni confirmed its commitment to social sustainability.
Between April 15th and September, fuel prices charged to “Silvia e figli", the island's distributor, will be lowered by 70€/millilitre for motor vehicles and motor boats.
This distributor, concordant with the motivations and in harmony with eni, adhered to the initiative and agreed to allow its customers to fully benefit from this fuel, gas and petrol cost reduction.
With this initiative, Eni reiterates its focus and commitment to support and sustaining families and businesses on Lampedusa.
