San Donato Milanese (Milan), 10 July 2012 – Eni is partner of the Festival of the Two Worlds, which will be held in Spoleto, from June 29 to July 15, 2012. The festival is one of the most important international events for entertainment and culture in Italy. Every year the Festival brings the artistic excellence of opera, music, theatre and dance to the stage, as well as hosting an art exhibition.
On July 14, Francesco Cafiso, the internationally renowned young saxophonist who recorded an original interpretation of the song Don't Stop, which isfeatured in Eni's communications, will perform during the evening dedicated to Eni at 19.00 at the Teatro Nuovo in Spoleto. Born in Vittoria (Sicily) in 1989, Francesco Cafiso is one of the most precocious talents in jazz history: he took his first steps in the music industry at nine years old, gaining experience with internationally renowned musicians.
The group Francesco Cafiso and the All Stars Reunion consists of Francesco Cafiso (saxophone), Flavio Boltro (trumpet), Enrico Pieranunzi (piano), Rosario Bonaccorso (bass) and Roberto Gatto (drums). Each member is an ambassador of Italian jazz to the world, possessing a résuméwhich highlights valuable collaborations and performances at the best international festivals and discographies that testify the richness of their creativity.
Together, the five musicians affirm the vitality and quality that characterizes Italian jazz today: the group presents itself on stage as a standard quintet, but gives the audience the impression that they are listening to an entire orchestra. The musical excellence, modernity, drive and swing are clear throughout their performances, and their jazz is contemporary, whimsical and charming.
