Eni is the main partner of the Biennale Democrazia, an event promoted by the City of Turin, with the patronage of the President of the Republic, to be held in Turin from 10 to 14 April.

Eni chairman Giuseppe Recchi was present at the opening session, at which the inaugural lecture was given by Laura Boldrini, Speaker of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.

Now in its third edition, the event features a programme of around 100 meetings with authoritative national and international figures involved in discussions about the purpose of politics and ideal outcomes around the theme of "L’utopico. Possibile?"

It is a formula that can be summarised briefly in the question: how much can be done to build a future based on solid and democratic foundations?

Among the special sections, Eni has curated a space dedicated to Africa "Between democracy and development: the Africa of the Future" which will examine a range of issues: from the fundamental role of women in the peace, democratisation and development processes, to access for all to sustainable energy as a factor on socio-economic and environmental development.
