Eni is a partner of the Forum of International Cooperation to be held in Milan at the Teatro Strehler on 1st and 2nd October 2012.
The Forum, for which Eni is a main partner, is an occasion for detailed debate to relaunch, in the presence of the highest offices of state, the importance of international cooperation as a qualifying element of Italy’s contribution to all the related issues and to global emergencies.
The event, organised by the Ministry for International Cooperation, in partnership with the City of Milan, the Directorate General for Cooperation and Development at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale (ISPI), includes the participation of numerous Italian and international personalities. For Eni, the CEO Paolo Scaroni is one of the speakers.
This is a public meeting where interested citizens, experts and young people can meet representatives of some of the highest offices of state, European ministries and countries in the southern hemisphere.
The aim of the Forum is to encourage dialogue between individuals and groups who want development cooperation to be a part of our country’s identity and think that it should be central to a revival of Italy’s international profile.
During the Forum plenary sessions will alternate with moments of group work, but the meeting is also a laboratory of ideas on how to update Italy’s cooperation efforts in light of new realities in a changing world.
At the end of the Forum a presentation will be made of the “National Pact for new development cooperation‘, a manifesto of intent to re-establish the centrality of public policy on cooperation and outline guidelines for a quantitative and qualitative recovery of Italian cooperation.
