For the seventh consecutive year, Eni’s inclusion has been confirmed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, one of the most prestigious sustainability indexes in the world.
Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index includes listed companies that have distinguished themselves for their economic, social and environmental performance, highlighting the leaders in sustainability in each sector. The index features a total of 333 companies, selected on the basis of economic, social and environmental criteria from among the world’s 2,500 biggest companies by market capitalisation. In the Oil & Gas sector, in which 15 out of 123 companies were selected, Eni had the highest score in terms of the environment.
Eni’s position was also confirmed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe index for the sixth year in a row.
Eni has also confirmed its place on the FTSE4Good sustainability index for the seventh consecutive year. The FTSE Group is one of the world’s leading companies in the creation and management of indexes and is widely recognised by the international financial community and present in the world’s most important stock exchanges.
