Eni and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs support the "Women, North Africa and Middle East, strengthening business through women leadership" project designed and implemented by the Italian organization Pari and Dispare.
The initiative, a five days workshop taking place in Rome from 11th to the 15th May, promotes women’s rights and economic and political empowerment, in the context of the evolution that has followed the Arab Spring and through an Euro-Mediterranean good practice exchange.
The programme complements eni’s actions focused on improving access to economic opportunities for vulnerable women in a number of priority countries where the company operates and that are undergoing transition and reforms, such as Algeria and Tunisia.
Women have a crucial role in shaping the development of their societies and hence the future of their countries. They are the link and the imperative for sustainable development globally. Eni supports women's economic empowerment in response to women's demands.
