Assago, 21 May 2014 - Milano Serravalle - Milano Tangenziali and Eni have reached an agreement for the overhaul of six service stations licensed to Eni, located along Milan’s ring roads.

Under the agreement, once authorisations has been formally granted, Eni will begin renovating both the petrol and break areas of the six service stations of Cascina Gobba Est and Cascina Gobba Ovest on the East Ring Road, and San Giuliano Est, San Giuliano Ovest, Muggiano Est and Muggiano Ovest on the West Ring Road.

The execution of the project on the Milan East and West Ring Roads, which falls within Eni’s and Milano Serravalle - Milano Tangenziali broader strategy to improve the quality of the services also in terms of safety and environmental impact, has been made possible by constructive dialogue with the local authorities since 2011. This has provided an essential step towards gaining the necessary permits for the various demolition and reconstruction stages.

Given the strategic importance of these service station to travellers, they will be equipped with the best and most advanced mobility services, such as baby rooms, information points and shops.

Three of the service stations, namely Cascina Gobba Est on the East Ring Road and Muggiano Est and Ovest on the West Ring Road, will be closed in part, enabling travellers to continue making use of essential services. The three remaining service stations - Cascina Gobba Ovest on the East Ring Road and San Giuliano Est and Ovest on the West Ring Road - will be completely closed.
The work schedule has been determined so as to minimise inconvenience, also in view of the upcoming Milan World Expo - Expo 2015, subject to the inspection and certification times required by local bodies.
