Our upstream operations

Eni operates in both the onshore and offshore areas of the Niger Delta through its subsidiaries NAOC, NAE and AENR. In 2020, Eni’s oil and gas production averaged 131 kboe/d, over a developed and undeveloped acreage of 29,265 square kilometers (6,438 square kilometers net to Eni).

The company has a stake in a total of 32 mining leases, and is the operator in 10 of these. Eni’s upstream operations in Nigeria are regulated by Production Sharing Contracts, and Concession Contracts.

Offshore operations

Eni in Nigeria operates in the offshore areas of the Niger Delta through its subsidiaries AENR and NAE. AENR operates in the shallow water areas offshore, NAE operates in deep and ultra-deep waters.

Onshore operations

Eni operates in the onshore areas of the Niger Delta through its oldest subsidiary, NAOC. NAOC’s extensive trunkline and pipeline network span more than 3,000 km across the Niger Delta.
