- BUSINESS MEETINGS AND AGREEMENTS
Milan, 4 September 2015 - The Vice-President of the European Commission for the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, met Eni’s CEO, Claudio Descalzi, today in Milan.
During the meeting they discussed about energy security, the completion of the European internal energy market and about policies aimed at reducing CO2 emissions. The meeting offered Eni’s CEO the opportunity to confirm the company’s commitment in addressing the challenges of climate change.
Eni is also part of the Oil & Gas Climate Initiative, a voluntary action taken by some large energy companies, aimed to catalyze concrete steps on climate change through collaboration and sharing of best practices. In addition, Eni is among the first signatories of the Global Gas Flaring Reduction project promoted by the World Bank.
