San Donato Milanese (Milan), 05 December 2025, – On International Volunteer Day, Eni celebrates exceeding 500 days of work donated by its employees to third sector organizations as part of its ‘Corporate Volunteering’ Program.
In April 2025, Eni launched its corporate volunteering program, which allows its employees in Italy to volunteer for up to two days per year, paid for by the company. Thirty companies in the Eni group have joined the initiative, which aims to contribute directly to the well-being of local communities and strengthen personal and team skills.
To date, ten collaboration agreements have been signed with nationally significant third sector organizations: ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA DEI CARDIOPATICI CONGENITI BAMBINI E ADULTI, ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA SCLEROSI MULTIPLA, FONDAZIONE L'ALBERO DELLA VITA, FONDAZIONE ANT FRANCO PANNUTI - ETS, CEFA - COMITATO EUROPEO PER LA FORMAZIONE E L'AGRICOLTURA, COOPI - COOPERAZIONE INTERNAZIONALE FONDAZIONE, FONDAZIONE BANCO ALIMENTARE, FONDAZIONE FRANCESCA RAVA - NPH ITALIA, FONDAZIONE MARIA LETIZIA VERGA ENTE DEL TERZO SETTORE and FONDAZIONE TERRE DES HOMMES ITALIA. With each of these organizations, initiatives have been identified throughout the country, ranging from fundraising to activities with minors, the renovation of the organizations' premises, and assistance in preparing food parcels, to name just a few of the many possibilities offered.
In addition to this option, Eni employees can choose to dedicate their volunteer activities to third sector organizations of their choice. Just over six months after the official launch of the initiative, employees have donated the equivalent of almost two years of working days, with two-thirds of the days going to partner organizations and one-third to organizations chosen independently. The latter exceeded 80 different organizations involved in multiple areas of intervention, including healthcare and social assistance, animal care, activities with schools and for minors, rescue activities, as well as special events during cultural festivals.
On International Volunteer Day, Eni employees will have the opportunity to participate in activities dedicated to them by the Fondazione Francesca Rava (in support of the campaign ‘In Farmacia con i Bambini’), AISM (for fundraising in support of scientific research and services dedicated to people with multiple sclerosis), Albero della Vita (in support of activities at the mother-child shelter in Milan), and the Fondazione Maria Letizia Verga (for fundraising activities).
The initiative is in line with the principles expressed in Eni's mission and Code of Ethics, which place great value on people and local communities, and aims to promote and enhance the active and voluntary participation of employees in community life, even during working hours, in line with the company's integrated business model, which promotes sustainable development and the creation of long-term partnerships to generate long-term shared value.
