Eni launches the ‘Corporate Volunteering’ programme in Italy: working alongside third sector to support local communities

San Donato Milanese (Milan), 17 April 2025, – Eni has launched its new ‘Corporate Volunteering’ programme, addressed to employees of the company and its subsidiaries operating in Italy.

The initiative, aligned with the principles set out in Eni's mission and Code of Ethics, which place Eni's people and local communities at the heart of its operations, aims to promote and enhance employees’ active and voluntary participation in community life, during working hours.

Eni will grant participants up to two days of paid leave per calendar year (January-December) to carry out volunteer activities. Each employee may choose an organization to collaborate with, selecting it from a list of organisations that Eni has signed agreements with, or identifying a Third Sector Organisation (‘ETS’) present on Italian territory and registered with RUNTS (Registro Unico Nazionale del Terzo Settore, set up at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies), whose activities are in line with the values and principles expressed in the Code of Ethics, the mission and the sustainability strategy of the company.

In addition to encouraging collaboration, team building and soft skills development, the programme offers people the opportunity to contribute, with their time and skills, to the wellbeing of the communities in which they live, consistent with Eni's integrated business model, which promotes sustainable development and the creation of long-term partnerships to generate lasting, shared value.

To date, Eni has signed agreements with ten partners organizations: AICCA Onlus, Associazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla (AISM), CEFA Onlus, Comitato Maria Letizia Verga, COOPI, Fondazione Albero della Vita, Fondazione ANT Italia Onlus, Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus, Fondazione Francesca Rava, Terre des Hommes. Planned activities, which will take place across Italy, include fundraising support, food packaging and distribution, educational projects, summer centres activities, basic  maintenance work, and initiatives such as art and teddy therapy for paediatric cancer patients.
