- LOCAL INITIATIVES
Or , our new artificial intelligence tool.
The initiative aims to support the growth of a new generation of entrepreneurs to contribute to the country's socio-economic development through innovation.
Pointe-Noire (Republic of Congo), January 11, 2025 – Joule, Eni's school of entrepreneurship, announces the launch of the Call for Innovators "Yasika | L'innovation prend racine au Congo", a flagship initiative dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in the Republic of Congo. Implemented in partnership with the innovation hub Cariplo Factory and the organization supporting entrepreneurs through technology Seedstars, together with the NGO AVSI and BeEntrepreneurs, this ambitious program seeks to develop innovative solutions in the fields of energy transition and decarbonization while training a new generation of Congolese entrepreneurs.
The "YASIKA" call is structured into two distinct programs, designed to meet the specific needs of aspiring entrepreneurs. The first is a path of entrepreneurial improvement intended for budding entrepreneurs, students, and young graduates, providing them with support to build a structured entrepreneurial vision, refine their ideas, and solidify innovative projects. The second is an incubation program that targets established startups, offering strategic support to strengthen innovative projects or existing businesses, refine their business models, and establish an ambitious growth plan in three key sectors: Agritech, Climate Tech, Energy, and the Green Economy.
Through YASIKA, Eni Joule aims to catalyze local innovation, an essential driver for the socio-economic growth of the Republic of Congo. By offering tangible support to project leaders, this initiative aspires to address contemporary energy and environmental challenges by promoting sustainable and impactful solutions for the region.
Applicants have until January 19, 2025, to submit their applications via the following link: https://www.eni.com/joule/en-IT/media/2024/11/yasika-innovation-prends-racine-au-congo.html. The call’s deadline has been extended to give innovators and startups the opportunity to join the program, given the great interest raised within the country: more than 100 startups have already applied.
