Mexico City (Mexico), 11 September, 2020 - Eni Mexico delivered yesterday 10 pulmonary ventilators for intensive care and a PCR thermocycler to the Government of the State of Tabasco. With this donation, the company joins the efforts of health professionals and communities to prevent and combat the spread of Covid-19, thus reaffirming its commitment and support to the communities where it operates, particularly the most vulnerable, in the coastal area of the Municipality of Cárdenas, Tabasco.
The donation, which also includes 700 PCR kits that reach up to 1,500 Covid-19 tests and 500 reagents for generic viral tests, is part of the comprehensive support strategy developed by Eni Mexico with the State and Municipal authorities. This strategy seeks to strengthen the health sector, improve community well-being, enhance prevention measures and implement information campaigns, for an estimated investment of USD 675 thousand dollars (over 15 million pesos).
In addition to this donation, Eni México has begun delivering 3,900 pantry and cleaning kits to families in the coastal area of the Municipality of Cárdenas affected by the restriction of mobility and limited access to food sources and centers. This support will be distributed twice a week, for three months. Also, the company has donated KN95 masks and sanitizing liquids, and delivered information materials aimed at both the adults and children.
