Statutory Auditor elected from the slate of candidates submitted by Italian and foreign institutional investors. Born in Bari in 1964, he has been Chairman of Eni’s Board of Statutory Auditors since May 2026. He is a certified chartered accountant, certified public auditor and sustainability reporting auditor. Owner of “Studio Tributario e Societario Fallacara”. He is an Adjunct Professor on Accounting – Faculty of Economics – at the University of Rome, “La Sapienza”, and an Adjunct Professor on Sustainability Reporting, Financial Analysis course – Faculty of Economics, as well as on the Master’s programme in Taxation at “Luiss–Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali” in Rome.
He is currently Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Tim SpA, Tim Retail Srl, Nextchem SpA, I.D.S. Ingegneria dei Sistemi SpA (Fincantieri Group), Acea Acqua SpA and Aquanexa Srl (Acea Group); Statutory Standing Auditor of Telecom Italia Sparkle SpA, Pirelli Tyre SpA, Pirelli Servizi Amministrazione e Tesoreria SpA, Marine Interiors SpA (Fincantieri Group), Cartiere Guarcino SpA, GDS Sistemi e Servizi Scarl, Casa di Cura La Madonnina SpA and Myreplast Industries Srl. He is an independent Director of Argo Global Assicurazioni SpA.
He is the coordinator of Unindustria’s working group on the Tax Control Framework, a member of the Commission “Updating and revision of the code of conduct for the board of statutory auditors of listed companies” of the National Council of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Institute for Corporate Governance.
As consultant, he provides corporate and tax advisory services, specialising in financial and non-financial reporting and mergers and acquisitions; he has extensive experience in strategic and operational support, corporate restructuring and tax optimisation. He is registered in the list of members of the Register of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts authorized to certify the Integrated System for the Detection, Measurement, Management and Control of Tax Risk (TCF) and acts as a consultant on the implementation of the TCF and compliance with the cooperative compliance scheme.
He is and has been Chairman and a member of Supervisory Bodies pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001.
In the academic sphere, he served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of International Studies in Rome (UNINT) – Faculty of Economics – from 2019 to 2025, and in 2019 at Pegaso International University in Malta – on the Business Administration degree programme. From 2013 to 2014, he worked with the Chair of Auditing at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Latina, and from 1998 to 2016 he worked as a lecturer at the School of Economics and Finance (formerly the ‘Ezio Vanoni’ School) of the Ministry of Finance.
From 2016 to 2024, he served, amongst other roles, as Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Maire SpA (formerly Maire Tecnimont SpA) and, from 2012 to 2021, as Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Pirelli e C. SpA.
He is the author of numerous publications on economic and financial matters and a speaker at courses and conferences on corporate, accounting and tax issues organised by the Council of Chartered Accountants and other public or private entities.
He graduated with honour in Economics and Business – specialising in Corporate Finance – from the “Luiss–Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali” in Rome.
