With regard to the hydrocarbon transportation sector, meanwhile, we own Oléoduc du Rhone SA - a company that operates a 257km-long gas pipeline with a capacity of 1.1 million barrels per year that runs from Ferrera Erbognone, through Piedmont and the Valle d'Aosta, to the Swiss canton of Valais via the Great St Bernard Pass.

Logistics in Switzerland
Eni Suisse SA was founded in Lugano in 1959, initially operating in Ticino and gradually expanding throughout Switzerland. The company was transferred to Lausanne in 1962 and now employs 79 people. The presence of Eni Suisse is of significant strategic importance since it gives the country an effective alternative gas supply thanks to the refineries located in northern Italy and Germany. Eni Suisse has import facilities in Basel and Geneva, which is fed by our Mediterranean refineries via the SPRM and SAPPRO pipeline system, in which it owns shares. Eni Suisse also owns two warehouses located in Stabio (TI) and Sennwald (SG), as well as shares in TAR (ZH). This integrated procurement and logistics system enables the company to develop its own sales channels competitively. We own 280 service stations, 99 of which are owned directly. The market share is over 8%, reaching around 30% in the Ticino area. Eni Suisse offers two cards - the AgipPLUS card for private customers and the Multicard-Routex card, which can be used to pay for services. The wholesale division is able to supply fuels, heating oil, bitumen and LPG, with a total volume of almost 450,000 tonnes, and its location close to the airports of Zurich and Geneva is of the utmost importance to us.
