Algeria, becoming the top supplier of gas
We’ve been present in the country since 1981, and it is becoming the top supplier of gas for Italy. On 15 July 2022, Algeria announced that starting from the second half of July 2022 it will supply 4 billion cubic metres of gas to Italy.
Algeria is one of the key sources for gas imports and this decision reflects the deep-rooted historical ties with the country.
The first bio-oil produced in Kenya
In July 2022, we and local institutions launched the production of vegetable oil at the first agri-hub operating in the country.
One year ago, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote a new industrial model in the country, integrating the circular economy throughout the whole supply chain.
Gas deliveries begin to the Coral Sul
In June 2021 we started to deliver hydrocarbons to the FLNG Coral Sul, off the coast of Mozambique.
Now that gas is being delivered to the plant, the FLNG will be able to produce the first load of LNG in the second half of 2022, thus adding Mozambique to the countries producing liquefied natural gas.

Achievement of the SDG around the world
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals for people, planet and prosperity, as set out in 2015 in the UN’s 2030 Agenda, are an indispensable point of reference for the whole international community. We have also set targets to achieve within the ambit of goals in our 2022–2025 Action Plan and our Long-Term Plan for 2050. The percentages indicate achievement of the targets worldwide, as given in the SDG index and dashboards in the 2021 Sustainable Development Report.
