Congo LNG project kicks off
We laid the foundation stone of Congo LNG, the country's first natural gas liquefaction project and one of Eni's core supply diversification initiatives.
The project, made though an accelerated development schedule and a zero-flaring approach, will see the installation of two floating natural gas liquefaction plants (FLNG) at the Nenè and Litchendjili fields – already in production – and at the fields yet to be developed.

HyNet North West project in the UK goes ahead
Eni becomes a leading operator in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects in the UK with the HyNet consortium, to which it is contributing as operator for CO2 transport and storage activities.
Through the development of the HyNet CCS project, Eni will play a leading role in the decarbonisation journey of the major companies with the highest CO2 emissions in the North West of England.

Baleine, the first Net Zero project in Africa
The project is the largest finding of hydrocarbons made by an energy company in Ivory Coast, as well as the first commercial discovery made in the country, in the past 20 years.
It will allow the country to further increase domestic access to energy. Thanks to this discovery, Ivory Coast will also strengthen its role as a regional energy hub for neighbouring countries.

New oil discovery in Mexico
E&P activities have been concentrated in the country's offshore. On March 2023 we announced a new discovery on the Yatzil exploration prospect in Block 7, located in the mid-deep water of the Cuenca Salina in the Sureste Basin.
The successful result comes after the Saasken and Sayulita discoveries in Block 10 and confirms the value of Eni’s Mexican asset portfolio, contributing to the potential synergic cluster development of several prospects located nearby.

New biorefinery launched in the United States
In February 2023, Eni Sustainable Mobility and PBF Energy announced an equal partnership in the USA for the St. Bernard bio-refinery currently under construction in Louisiana.
This strategic partnership, combining the experience and skills of the two companies, reflects both partners; commitment to providing more sustainable fuels using low-carbon raw materials.

Eni's Coral South project
The Coral Sul FLNG ship was designed and built according to the most advanced sustainability criteria, to minimise CO₂ emissions.
ITALY
We operate in the country along the entire energy chain. Alongside our traditional businesses, our strategy is increasingly focused on the development of renewable energy sources and circular economy processes. We base our work on efficiency, digitisation and new technologies.
ENTERUNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Our presence in UAE is becoming increasingly broad, driven by the partnership with ADNOC and the scale of the Ruwais and Ghasha projects.
ENTERAUSTRALIA
We began working in the country in 2000, and are now active in the Exploration & Production sector through our subsidiary Eni Australia Ltd and Plenitude and Power.
ENTERCANADA
We first began working with the country in 1969, with the founding of Agip Canada that began research and trade of minerals in the area. Today we operate in the Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing e Chemicals sectors.
enterALGERIA
We’ve been present in the country since 1981, and it is becoming the top supplier of gas for Italy. We are considering the launch of new projects in the country in the sectors of renewables, hydrogen, capture, use, carbon dioxide storage and biorefining, in line with the commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
EnterSOUTH AFRICA
We operated in the country until 2022, where we were present in the Upstream sector and, originally, in the distribution of lubricants through Agip.
EnterSPAIN
We operate in the Spanish natural gas market via Eni España Comercializadora de Gas (“EECG”, owned by Eni) and in the R&M and Chemicals sector via our Eni Iberia subsidiary and Plenitude & Power.
EnterBELGIUM
We have been operating in the country since 2008 in the Global Gas & LNG, and R&M and Chemicals sectors. We operate in the Benelux countries, including the Netherlands, through a subsidiary company.
EnterKAZAKHSTAN
We have been operating in the country since 1992, where we a co-operator of the Karachaganak production field and are a partner in the (PSA) responsible for the Kashagan field. We also operate in the Exploration & Production, Refining & Marketing and Chemical, and Plenitude & Power sectors.
EnterANGOLA
Angola is one of the African countries in which we are investing more energy, including by improving the infrastructure here, where we have been operating since 1980 in the E&P and Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sectors, through Versalis International.
EnterREPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
We have been in the country since 1968, in the Exploration & Production sector, where we work both offshore and onshore, in Refining & Marketing & Chemicals, also though Versalis and its portfolio of oil field chemicals.
EnterCOTE D'IVOIRE/IVORY COAST
Eni’s presence in Ivory Coast dates back to the 1960s, with the company Agip Côte d’Ivoire. We returned to the Country in 2015.

Since 1954 we have been contributing to the growth of the country in which we operate in our Exploration & Production and Global Gas & LNG Portfolio.
EnterGABON
We operate in Gabon in the Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sectors. Having previously worked in Gabon from 1987 to 2004, we returned in 2008 with six new exploration licenses.
EnterGHANA
Ghana is one of the key countries in strategy. We operate in the Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing and Chemical sectors and invest in local development initiatives.
EnterKENYA
We have been operating in the E&P sector since 2012 and are developing projects for the country. We also contribute to start a new industrial models of fully-integrated circular economy and in 2022 we launched vegetable oil production in the country.
EnterLIBYA
We have been operating in the country since 1959. We are currently active in the Exploration & Production and Global Gas & LNG Portfolio sectors in the offshore of the city of Tripoli and in the desert area.
EnterMOROCCO
We are active in Exploration & Production in 42 countries, including Morocco, where we hold the Tarfaya Offshore Shallow exploration licence, located in the Atlantic Ocean.
EnterMOZAMBIQUE
Mozambique is one of the most promising countries on the African continent for the energy sector. We have been operating in Mozambique since 2006, currently in the Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing e Chemical sectors.
EnterNIGERIA
We have had a presence in Nigeria since 1962, when the Nigerian Agip Oil Co. Ltd (NAOC) was founded, and currently operate in the country’s Exploration & Production sector.
EnterARGENTINA
We have been operating in the country since 1991 and today we are active in the Exploration & Production sector with an exploration licence in block MLO 124, which was assigned to us as part of a consortium in 2019.
EnterECUADOR
We were operating in the Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing and chemicals sectors in the country until 2018.
EnterMEXICO
Our relationship with Mexico dates back to 1967. Since 2015, E&P activities have been concentrated in the country's offshore. We also operate in the R & M and Chemicals sectors, with the subsidiary Versalis México, based in Mexico City.

We have been present in the country since 1968, in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and Texas. We operate in the E&P, R&M and Chemicals sectors and in the development, investment and operation of renewable energy plants through Plenitude & Power.
EnterVENEZUELA
We have been operating in the country since 1998 in the Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing and Chemical sectors, but negotiations began in 1963 when we made our first agreements in both sectors. Through Ecofuel SpA, we hold a stake in Supermetanol CA which operates a methanol-producing plant.

We have been in present in the country since 1984, and today we operate in the Exploration & Production, Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and Refining & Marketing & Chemicals sectors.
EnterJAPAN
We have been an active player in the Land of the Rising Sun's Global Gas & LNG Portfolio sector since 2013 but our cooperation with Japan in the commercial and petrochemicals sectors dates back to the 1960s.

We were active in the Asian country from 2005, but the first contacts with India date back to the late 1950s. Currently we operate in the field of Refining & Marketing and Chemistry.

Our work in Indonesia began in 1968, when we signed the first agreement with the country. In 2001, we returned to the territory, and currently operate in the Exploration & Production sector.

We have been trading in petroleum products in the Far East since 2010. We operate in Singapore in the Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sectors.

We've been operating in the Exploration & Production sector in Vietnam since 1965 and in Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sector.
ENTRALUXEMBOURG
We operate in the country’s Gas & Power sector, both directly and via our Belgian subsidiary Distrigas, which has been selling gas in the Benelux countries, France and Germany for over 75 years.
EnterEAST TIMOR/TIMOR LESTE
We have been in present in the country since 2006, and today we operate in the Exploration & Production sector, holding an 80% stake in four offshore exploration blocks.

We have been operating in the country’s Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sectors since 1959, but our presence in Austria actually dates back to the late 1920s with Agip.

e have been present on the territory since 2013 and hold interests in seven licenses of the country's exclusive economic waters in Blocks 2, 3, 6, 8 and 9, and we have participating interests in Blocks 7 and 11 operated by TotalEnergies.

We officially entered the French market in 1968 and currently operate in the Global Gas & LNG Portfolio, Plenitude & Power and Refining & Marketing and Chemical sectors.
EnterGREECE
We currently operate in the Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sectors, but our relationship with the country dates back to the 1950s with Agip. We also operate in the country’s chemicals industry through Versalis International and a commercial subsidiary.
EnterIRELAND
We were the first company to enter Ireland's offshore market in the 1960s and currently operate in the country’s oil exploration and production industry.
EnterTUNISIA
We have been in the country since 1961, delivering our first load of Tunisian crude oil to Genoa in 1966. Today our work is in the E&P, Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and Refining & Marketing and Chemicals and renewable sectors.
EnterSOUTH KOREA
Our relationship with the country was initially established by Enrico Mattei, though our most recent activities date back to 2013. We now operate in the country’s Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and R&M and Chemical sectors.

Our operations in the country currently focus on developing the Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sectors.
EnterMONTENEGRO
We began exploration work in the country in 2016, signing a concession contract with the government of Montenegro for exploring four offshore blocks.

We've been operating in the country since 1965 in the Exploration & Production sector, in the Norwegian Sea, the Norwegian North Sea and the Barents Sea and Plenitude & Power, for the development of projects in the renewable energy sector. Eni currently has a marginal presence in Russia. The existing Joint Ventures with Rosneft, linked to exploration licenses in the Arctic area, have already been frozen for years, due also to the international sanctions imposed since 2014.
EnterSLOVENIA
We have been operating in the country since 1994 through Adriaplin, which imports, sells and distributes gas throughout the country (and in which Eni has a 51% stake) and in the Plenitude & Power sector.
EnterSWITZERLAND
We operate in the country’s Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and R&M and Chemicals sectors. Eni first established a presence in the country back in 1959, when we founded Agip Lausanne for the purposes of selling oil products.

Our activities in Turkey date back to the 1960s, with the start of local oil exploration initiatives. We now operate in the country’s Global Gas & LNG Portfolio and Refining & Marketing and Chemical sectors.

We started operating in Turkmenistan in 2008 after acquiring Burren Energy Plc, conducting our Exploration & Production activities in the onshore Nebit Dag block.

We have been operating in the country since 1990, selling petroleum products both retail and wholesale. We still, to this day, operate in the country’s Refining & Marketing and Chemicals sector.
EnterSAUDI ARABIA
We have been operating in this country of the Arabian Peninsula since the 1960s, in the Oil & Gas Exploration and Production sector. We have been active in the Refining and Chemicals sector since 1984 through our Ecofuel subsidiary.

After the first efforts in offshore exploration in 2021, Eni is aiming now to strengthen the partnership with the country in the framework of the energy transition.
