Eni Rewind for 2021

According to the International Labour Organization’s Guidelines, a fair transition is a “process toward an environmentally sustainable economy, contributing to the goals of decent work for all, social inclusion and eradication of poverty.” In our new Sustainability Report, we talk about our corporate commitment increasingly devoted to recover and reuse resources, such as soil, water and waste, and strongly focused on protecting the environment and the needs of the workers and communities we work with. In order to tackle the change under way, we adopted a strategy focused on know-how and passion for R&D, for technological innovation and digitalisation, for the promotion of human rights, and the creation of alliances to revitalise the territories.

Eni Rewind complies with Eni’s new strategy, which involves a short, medium and long-term evolutionary journey, to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. With this in mind, we have adopted a business model aimed at developing projects focused on circularity and on the valorisation of natural resources. This transition will require us to decommission current plants, to remediate such areas and to manage the growing waste production, as we feel it is essential to implement common actions aimed at maximising its recovery and reuse.

Our model for operational excellence focuses on our commitment toward the people and on protecting the environment in which we operate. These fundamental company values are reflected into a careful approach to sustainability, workers’ health and safety, integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights.
