The Global Natural Resources (GNR) department of Eni continues to nurture an internal entrepreneurial culture, increasingly seen a strategic lever for creating value and achieving corporate objectives. Already 450 individuals are involved in the new GNR Factor programme, developed in collaboration with Joule.

The Unlock Your GNR Factor initiative, aimed at developing innovative solutions to meet specific needs of the department, successfully concluded in October 2025. A series of inspirational meetings with mentors, entrepreneurs, innovators, company managers and founders brought to life the Meeting the Changer format, a forum for discussing innovation not only in terms of technical progress but also as a means of organisational and cultural change. In GNR Stories, meanwhile, success factors were analysed and some significant corporate narratives were shared. Over the course of 2026, the programme will culminate in the GNR Marathon, an internal challenge for the development of new ideas on topics of particular interest to the GNR function.

Entrepreneurship programmes for Eni staff are designed to nurture key entrepreneurial skills, such as seeing mistakes as part of a continuous learning process, embracing risk, adaptability, creative problem-solving, and focusing on customer needs. All these skills help towards the development of ideas that could shift strategic direction and enhance the ability to capitalise on opportunities, promoting teamwork and improving leadership abilities and the art of working together effectively.
