Joule continues to focus on developing an internal entrepreneurial culture as a strategic lever for value creation. The GNR Factor programme emerged from a collaboration with Global Natural Resources (GNR) department to broaden and solidify an entrepreneurial approach to our work methods. The new programme is in the same vein as the Unlocking Value initiative that Joule developed in 2024, also under the Eni GNR department.

The programme is divided into four formats:

  • Meet the Changers - Inspirational online meetings of about 30 minutes with entrepreneurs, innovators, company managers and startup founders.
  • GNR Stories – Analysis of the reasons behind the success of the best business stories, with experience sharing sessions based on an interview model of about 30-45 minutes.
  • GNR Marathon – Internal challenge for the development of new ideas on issues that are particularly important for the GNR function.
  • Unlock Your GNR Factor – Programme reserved for about 30 people to develop innovative solutions related to specific business needs.

The entrepreneurship programmes for Eni staff are designed to foster the development of entrepreneurial soft skills (seeing mistakes as learning opportunities, embracing risk, being flexible, thinking creatively, and focusing on the customer) which enable them to pursue ideas that could significantly alter strategic direction, even when it involves taking bold risks. Lastly, the capacity to grasp opportunities with high potential through teamwork, cultivating leadership and effective communication, is essential.
