Cookie Policy
When you visit the WWW.ENIVERSE.TECH website ("Site" or “Website”) or use its online services, tools or systems ("Services"), Eniverse Ventures S.r.l (the "Company") and its authorized suppliers may use cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies to operate the Site and Services, to improve their performance, to offer additional features, and to target advertising to you or in line with your interests, subject to the terms of applicable laws.
This cookie policy is intended to provide you with a guide to understand what cookies, including web beacons and similar technologies, are, how and why they are used, what rights you have and what choices you can make regarding the use of cookies.
1. What are cookies, web beacons and similar technologies?
Like most websites, we use small data files that are saved on the user's computer, tablet, mobile phone or other mobile device (collectively referred to as "device") to record certain data each time a user logs in or interacts with our websites, services, apps, messaging systems and tools.
The names and the specific types of cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies that are used can change over time. To help you better understand the policy and use of these technologies, here are some terms with their definitions:
Cookies: small text files (typically made up of letters and numbers) that are stored in the memory of your browser or device when you visit a website or view a message. Cookies allow a website to recognize a particular device or browser. There are different types of cookies:
- - Session cookies expire at the end of the browser session and allow us to connect the actions of the user during that specific session.
- - Persistent cookies remain stored on the user's device even after the end of the browser session and allow us to remember your preferences or actions across multiple sites.
- - Proprietary cookies are placed by the website the user is visiting.
- - Third-party cookies are placed by a third-party website that is not the site the user is visiting.
Cookies can be disabled or removed using the tools available in most browsers. Cookie preferences must be set separately for each browser used, since each one offers specific features and options.
Web beacon: small images, also known as "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs", which we may include in our websites, services, apps, messages, and tools. Generally, they work with cookies to identify our users and their activities.
Similar technologies: technologies that store data in the browser or device using objects shared or stored locally, such as flash cookies, HTML 5 cookies and other software methods for web applications. These technologies work in all browsers. In some cases, the use of local storage cannot be fully handled by the browser, but needs to be managed with special tools. We do not use these technologies to store information useful for creating targeted advertising on our or other websites.
The terms "cookie" and "similar technologies" can be used interchangeably in this policy with reference to all technologies used to store data in the browser or the user's device or to the technologies that collect data or allow the user to be identified as described above.
2. What are the different categories of cookies?
Cookies distinguished by their duration
Cookies may remain on the Device for the duration of a session (i.e. until you close the browser used to browse the Site or stop using a Service) and are called session cookies; or they may remain for long periods and may contain a unique identifier and are called persistent cookies.
Cookies distinguished by the subject that owns the cookie
Cookies may be owned by the operator of the Site and the Service (such as the Company) and, therefore, installed by the latter on the user's Device. In these cases, they are so-called first-party cookies; or it may happen that a site contains cookies from other sites, owned by third parties, such as suppliers, and contained in various elements hosted on the Site itself (e.g. advertising banners, images, videos, etc.). In such cases, these are known as third-party cookies.
Cookie distinguished by the purpose
Cookies may be installed on your Device in order to ensure:
- - the operation of the Site and our Services, as well as to ensure that you can take advantage of their functionalities, so-called technical cookies
- - to allow us to improve the performance of the Site and our Services and to evaluate the effectiveness of a service offered through the Site, so-called analytical cookies; and
- - to allow us or our partners to target advertisements to you or in line with your interests, subject to your consent, so-called profiling cookies.
3. What types of cookies are used and for what purposes?
Technical cookies for the proper functioning of the Site and Services
To allow users to move around the Site, use the Services and to take advantage of the various functionalities (such as accessing the reserved areas of the Site and Services, remembering user choices, etc.), the Company uses technical cookies. Without these cookies, the Services requested, such as the use of the multimedia player, cannot be provided. For this reason, technical cookies do not require the users' consent to be installed on the Devices.
Site and Services
On the basis of your consent, the Company uses its own, i.e. first party, analytical cookies to analyse the performance and to improve the performance of the Site and Services. These cookies collect information about how the user navigates the Site and uses the Services (e.g., pages visited, online contracting process interrupted), and allow us to recognise the user and record the user's behaviour by identifying, for example, which aspects of the Site and Services are of most interest to the user or whether the user can easily find the information he or she requires.
In addition, the Company may use so-called tracking scripts with functionalities similar to those of analytical cookies in order to carry out random analyses of user behaviour on the Site (e.g. mouse movements and positioning on the Site and its contents). The information collected is exclusively aimed at aggregate analysis not based on users' personal data (e.g. IP, MAC address, etc.).
Third-party analytical cookies for analysis and improvement of the Site and Services
The Company uses analytical cookies also from third parties (i.e. suppliers) to process analyses on how users navigate the Site, the number of pages visited or the number of clicks made on a page while browsing a site. These analyses are based solely on aggregate information and do not relate to any individual user. The reason for using this type of cookie is the need for the Company and the Company's partners to pursue each of the purposes described in the Cookies Settings (such as, for example, evaluating the performance of ads, content, selecting customised content, or developing and refining products). The Company has carried out the appropriate evaluations regarding the non prevalence of users' interests and rights with respect to the Company's interest in pursuing said purposes, which are available upon request. Each user may object, in any case, to the Company's use of this type of cookie directly from the cookie centre or in the other ways illustrated in the dedicated paragraph of this policy.
Third-party profiling cookies
The Company uses suppliers in order to show, on third party sites, advertisements related to the Site and the Services and to allow these suppliers to show advertising content related to the preferences of the user who has visited the Site or used a Service. To enable this activity, subject to the express consent of the user through the cookie centre, third-party profiling cookies are installed.
For example, these cookies are used by suppliers to show the user, when visiting other sites, banners advertising products or services of the Company and of his/her interest or similar to those displayed, also on the basis of the browsing history.
Detailed information on cookies
To access detailed information relating to each cookie used by the Site (e.g. details of third parties, storage of information acquired), to manage consents relating to each type of cookie (in particular, to provide or revoke them) and/or to object to the use of cookies on the basis of the legitimate interest of the Company, the user may at any time access the cookie centre.
For a better understanding of the descriptions contained therein:
"advertising partners" (or vendors) means third-party advertisers with whom the publisher has chosen to collaborate. Vendors display third-party content on the Site. For example, they are the ones who set marketing cookies on users' browsers in order to display ads that are most relevant to potential customers;
Publishers (or publishers) are digital media that publish content on the Internet (e.g. the Company). In general, publishers represent the first party: the website the user is trying to access, i.e. WWW.ENIVERSE.TECH
