From space to AI, from healthcare to sustainability, from cinema to housing, from work to education, the city of Rome for one week became the hub for discussion on the changes reshaping society and the economy. Joule took part in the debate on the future of the Italian capital by participating in two of the many events held in the city over the seven days.
Carmelo Graceffa, Innovation Manager at Joule, spoke on 21 September at the panel "AI for Growth in Companies," which was held at Talent Garden in Rome. Meanwhile, Mattia Voltaggio, Head of Joule, participated on 22 September in the meeting: "Open Innovation: How Large Companies Foster Innovation," which was held at Zest Group on Via Marsala.
This fourth edition was also characterised by growing international participation and a network that successfully brought together businesses, institutions, universities, schools, startups, research centers and professionals.
“We neither know nor want to guess what the future will look like, but we aim to understand what skills, ideas and relationships we are already using to build it,” explained Michele Franzese, founder of ROME FUTURE WEEK. “The question, then, is not just what future awaits us, but with what raw materials we want to construct it. The initiative was started with the precise goal of connecting different worlds and transforming this energy into real opportunities for Rome and its residents.”
The event was organised with the support of Eni and Road-ROME Advanced District, the capital’s sustainable innovation hub that brings together large companies, universities, startups, research centres and institutions. A collaboration that brings to ROME FUTURE WEEK one of the key issues of the coming years: how to transform technological innovation and research into industrial solutions capable of supporting the transition.
