Human+AI: the programme to innovate cities

Human+AI is back with a new edition. SmartCityLab Milan's acceleration programme, of which Joule is a partner, is dedicated to startups and entrepreneurial teams developing technological and sustainable solutions for tomorrow's cities. It is a programme designed to support innovative companies in their growth by linking entrepreneurial vision, urban impact and concrete development opportunities.

Human+AI was created to promote an innovative approach that puts people at the centre by integrating technology, sustainability and urban transformation. SmartCityLab Milan takes this approach forward to create connections between startups, companies, investors and institutions, generating an ecosystem in which ideas can evolve into robust and impactful projects.

The programme includes over 100 hours of training, divided into intensive in-person and remote sessions, with the aim of promoting concrete, immersive and operation-oriented learning. Applications to participate in the programme are open from 4 May to 15 June 2026.

The key objectives are to:

• strengthen the startups’ readiness to enter the market;
• integrate sustainability, technology and social impact into business models;
• fostering connections with key stakeholders such as corporations, investors and experts;
• stimulate peer collaboration and community growth.
