The development of increasingly innovative and eco-compatible solutions for contaminated site reclamation is of fundamental importance to Eni Rewind. To this effect, technical-scientific expertise is a key element in the experimentation of new operation methods. The objective is to progress in terms of sustainability as well as energy efficiency enhancement and safety. At Eni, these activities are mostly pursued by the Research Centre for Renewable Energies and the Environment (Novara) and by the Oil & Gas Laboratory (San Donato Milanese), in addition to a network of collaborations with top universities and research centres in Italy and abroad. From the Polytechnic Universities of Milan and Turin, to the University of Venezia Ca’ Foscari, the National Research Institute and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT: a large number of alliances to support responsible technological development. The network of collaborations generates technological revolutions which enable the challenge of sustainable reclamation, overcoming any critical issues regarding operative methodologies.
