Eniquatic, a joint venture between Eni and ITQuanta, combines Eni’s operational excellence with ITQuanta’s quantum scientific and technology expertise
We are an innovation lab developing full-stack quantum computing solutions, both hardware and software, based on optically trapped neutral atoms.
Our mission is to leverage this advanced platform to tackle complex challenges in optimization, modeling, simulation, and AI—key areas for supporting the energy transition.
By integrating Eni’s high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure with cutting-edge quantum technologies, we aim to develop transformative applications that enhance the entire energy value chain from generation and storage to next-gen material discovery.
We design and build Rydberg neutral atom quantum computers for next-generation computational technologies.
We develop advanced software to simulate quantum systems, testing and validating algorithms on Eni’s HPC infrastructure.
We work on quantum algorithms to tackle complex industrial challenges, harnessing the power of quantum technologies.
Neutral atom arrays offer naturally identical qubits, ensuring consistent performance, repeatability, and scalability for robust quantum architectures.
Ytterbium, a two-electron atom, provides long coherence times and a versatile energy level structure, ideal for quantum state manipulation.
Individual atoms are arranged in dynamically reconfigurable optical tweezer arrays. This flexibility enables customized qubit layouts and connectivity for a wide range of algorithms.
Laser-induced Rydberg excitations enable multi-qubit gates and programmable Hamiltonians, allowing both digital and analog quantum computing.
We optimize complex industrial problems, improving resource allocation and process planning for both renewable and traditional energy systems.
We precisely characterize complex molecular structures to develop next-generation materials for advanced energy technologies.
Quantum algorithms, including quantum machine learning, accelerate differential equation solving, complex system studies, and engineering simulations.

Open positionsThe Technical and Scientific Committee (CTS) is an advisory body established by Eniquantic with the task of supporting the Board of Directors (BoD) in defining the technological guidelines of the project Roadmap, by providing non-binding recommendations and monitoring its progress.
The CTS carries out its role through:
Periodic monitoring and verification of the progress status of the Roadmap milestones, in line with the Company’s development objectives.
Preparation of an annual report on the achievement of the milestones, to be submitted to the Board of Directors (BoD).
Technical and advisory support, at the request of the BoD, including on technical and scientific matters not directly related to the technological development plan.
The activities are carried out at defined intervals and in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Committee’s internal regulations.
The CTS is composed of five members, including the Chair, all of whom are external to the Company and not members of the Board of Directors. The members are selected from among university professors and leading international experts in scientific disciplines (physics, mathematics, computer science) and engineering, with a proven ethical and reputational profile. The Chair and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company participate in the CTS ex officio, without voting rights. The Technical Secretary of the CTS is appointed by the Chair of the CTS, upon indication of the Chair of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer, and may not be a member of the Committee.
No fees, remuneration, or compensation shall be paid to the members of the CTS. The current Committee is composed as follows:
Chairman - CNR, Institute of Informatics and Telematics
Politecnico di Milano
University of Innsbruck
University of Pavia
Sapienza University of Rome
Technical Secretary - Eniverse Ventures Srl
