Today, Eni works in every segment of the electricity and natural gas French market.
Through the French Division of Eni SpA we cater for the industrial market - which we might call our primary market - but we also serve the wholesale market, heating providers and electricity generating companies.
Through Eni Gas & Power France SA we supply communities, big service-sector companies, other business customers and households.
So our full product range is a broad one, covering every kind of electricty and natural gas user.
Eni has a highly diversified range of gas supply sources: on the one hand, some 20% comes from its own gas production, plus some from long-term contracts with other producers; then on the other hand there is "pipeline" gas and LNG. This diversity means the security and continuity of supply which Eni can guarantee are among the best in Europe, and that it can offer a highly competitive product range.
Because it invests heavily both in building gas infrastructure itself and in taking stakes in such infrastructure projects, Eni can access the European network of gas transport and storage facilities on competitive terms. For France, the natural gas arrives mostly by entry points located in the northern part of France.
Eni buys electricity on the gross market through various channels such as producers, traders or foreign actors importing electricity in France. Thus, the electricity comes from mixed sources present in France (nuclear, sustainable, gas or coal).
Eni’s sustainable electricity offers has European warranty (European sources of sustainable production).
