Our strategy is to move faster towards carbon neutrality by 2050, with new interim targets covering all greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1+2+3).

Our path to net zero emissions by 2050

Our strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 leverages on proprietary and breakthrough technologies, the creation of new business models and close collaboration with stakeholders.
The decarbonization path is marked by short and medium-term targets that

include all GHG Scope 1+2+3 emissions. The company is committed to transforming its business to achieve Net Zero. The evolution towards a decarbonized product offer will be supported by a progressive increase in investments dedicated to new energy solutions and services.

Climate Advocacy

Within the framework of its partnerships and advocacy activities, Eni supports and shares in a clear and transparent manner its positioning on the principles considered essential for climate protection, in line with its strategy. These principles are published within the guidelines on Eni’s responsible engagement on climate change within business associations,

together with the assessment which periodically evaluates the alignment between Eni positioning and that of the business associations in which it participates in relation to the principles on climate change. The second report (available in the Download Area) published today, assessed the public positioning of 40 associations, selected based on their relevance and influence within the international climate and energy debate.
