Andrea Mercante

Andrea Mercante is CEO & President of Eni Next, Eni's corporate venture capital company, where he sets investment strategy and partners closely with the founders and teams building the technologies that will define the next energy system.

He brings to Eni Next nearly two decades of experience in strategy, finance and M&A. At Eni, one of the world's largest energy companies, he developed a strong understanding of the wider energy markets, working across several business lines and at Group level.

Andrea started his career at McKinsey as a management consultant, and holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Finance from Bocconi University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
