The infrastructure
Its eco-friendly design is more conscious of environmental protection issues by ensuring lower energy consumption than traditional data centres. Hosted in the Green Data Center, HPC6 has a maximum power consumption of approximately 10 MW.
In addition to being partially powered by a 1 MW photovoltaic system, the Green Data Center is equipped with a natural air convection cooling system (“freecooling”) which minimizes the use of air conditioning systems. Finally, HPC6 features its own innovative liquid cooling system that dissipates 96% of the heat generated by the machine.
HPC6 marks a major step forward in the Green Data Center’s supercomputing capability: from 70 to 606 peak Pflop/s, equal to 606 million billion mathematical operations per second.
