This year the celebration of Safety is divided into two days, one dedicated to employees and one to our suppliers.
Eni held the seventh Safety Day on 6 June in San Donato Milanese, alongside the Environment Day.
The event was attended by our Chief Executive Officer, our Chairman, the Board of Directors and around 200 managers.
The Awards categories were:
The winners in the latter category included four projects: a research project on drilling to reduce the risk of blow-out, a project to reduce reaction times for the safe recovery of injured persons in confined spaces and/or in areas suspected of contamination or in works at height, and two awareness campaigns on the Stop Work Authority principle and on day-to-day application of Eni’s Safety Golden Rules. A session was held in the afternoon to take an in-depth look at some of the Safety and Environment projects involved in the Awards, to help increase awareness of the work being done across Eni’s various units. In the Safety section, the projects selected for the afternoon technical session were focused on issues surrounding asset integrity and process safety. Eni held the Safety Day for our contractors on 21 June. This year’s event was attended by around 150 suppliers operating in the various commodity classes considered more critical in terms of safety. The Eni Safety Awards where awarded to suppliers across 10 categories that have achieved the best safety performance and have stood out for their commitment to safety, according to feedback from the industrial sites where they have been working.
