Eni’s staff training and knowledge diffusion activities are managed through Eni Corporate University.

Eni promotes the development of skills and merits by providing wide-ranging training, in terms of technical and behavioural content. Further training initiatives are according to the needs of the different roles with the aim of upgrading and consolidating the skills of everyone also through the integrated platform called "Enicampus", available to all Eni people worldwide. Eni confirms its focus on the development of core business skills. Furthermore, to prepare young graduates for work in the energy sector, Eni provides top-class training paths to integrate academic knowledge with company know-how, autonomously (MEDEA Master) and in collaboration with the best universities in Italy. With the Italian universities, in particular, Eni collaborates in the realization of initiatives aimed at the specialization and training of young students and graduates to facilitate their inclusion in the energy sector, through the activation of Master's Degrees mainly in the engineering field (Energy Engineering Oil & Gas Production at the Polytechnic of Milan, Petroleum and Mining Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, etc.) and geological (Petroleum Geology at the University of Perugia, Exploration and Applied Geophysics at the University of Pisa, etc.), Master's Degree II level (Energy Innovation at the Polytechnic of Milan, Energy Engineering and Operations at the Polytechnic of Turin), the granting of fellowships for Research Doctorates. Eni also collaborates with the Universities of the Countries in which operates through training programs aimed at young university professors to enable them to acquire and transfer the skills of excellence.

In 2017 hours of training increased by 19% compared to 2016. This is mainly due to the increase in digital learning initiatives, in line with the latest training methods, using an integrated distance learning platform available to all employees.
Training activities are carried out at the centres of Eni Corporate University (in San Donato Milanese, Rome, Cortemaggiore and Gela) and the facilities of the various Eni companies, in Italy and abroad. In line with the context and objectives of the Safety Competence Centre (SCC), the “Safety Centre” training project was organised at the Gela site, aimed at the insourcing of professional figures and activities in the safety area, pursuant to Legislative Decrees 81/08 and 624/96, creating a pool of suitably qualified experts, for the coordination and supervision of safety in all industrial activities and at all sites. A virtual reality pilot has been designed and built for the Safety Training Center of Gela, which reproduces an HSE training scenario in a realistic, interactive and multi-user industrial environment.
To support and improve the levels of learning, some classrooms of San Donato and Rome have been equipped with multimedia tools (E-board, tablet and videoconference) integrated with the development of a special app, which allow you:
Furthermore, advanced technologic classrooms have been created (videowall - shooting points - technical room / direction) for distance learning (Webinar) and for the creation of video footage. In San Donato a new room has been designed and is under construction with features similar to a television studio that also allows hosting training events in the presence and which has a flexible layout and different settings for the teacher and the learners.
