We organise health promotion initiatives for two target groups: employees and communities in the countries where we operate.
The promotion of health means spreading a “culture of health” and activating a process to enable people to exercise greater control over their health in order to improve it. Such efforts are complementary to the strategy for the protection of health and the approach is based on helping employees to acquire sound and responsible patterns of behaviour. Community health initiatives involve specific initiatives, in line with local health policies and best international practices, to improve the health conditions and promote the well-being of local communities, and is an important tool for improving Eni’s effectiveness as a development partner. In this context, Eni’s commitment is twofold: on the one hand, to facilitate exploration, production and access to energy, and on the other, to promote specific projects to meet the priority needs of the territories in which it operates.
