The Board, supported by assessments made by the Sustainability and Scenarios Committee, has adopted a 10-year climate action plan.
In 2016, Eni extended the Climate Action Plan adopted in 2015, providing additional stimulus for the development of renewable energy, both for self-consumption and for the direct production and sale of electricity on the market.
The Sustainability and Scenario Committee supports the board of directors in assessing climate change, addressing the issue in 6 out of 10 meetings, with particular reference to energy scenarios and the development of renewable sources. In addition, in the context of the Control and Risk Committee, a long-term risk profile has been drawn up, with an in-depth study of the evolution of the context, and an analysis of the potential impacts on the business model.

In 2016, two assessment cycles were conducted that confirmed that climate change is among the 20 top risks facing Eni and that the board of directors monitors on a quarterly basis.
