The Jangkrik started in 2009

Jangkrik

The Jangkrik project involves the combined development of two gas fields – Jangkrik and Jangkrik North East – referred to jointly as the Jangkrik Complex. It forms part of the deepwater Muara Bakau block (where Eni is the operator, with a 55 per cent stake), in the offshore Kutei Basin, at a depth of approximately 400m and 70km from the coast of the East Kalimantan region of Indonesia. Production at the two Jangkrik Complex gas fields has started in May 2017, with a time to market of just three-and-a-half years from the date of the investment decision. Furthermore, thanks to Eni’s near-field exploration strategy, the FPU can be used as a hub not only for fields in the Jangkrik Complex, but also for other recent discoveries nearby. The unit will be connected to 10 deepwater subsea production wells and the gas sent to the Bontang liquefaction plant following treatment on board.
Jangkrik is one of seven record-breaking projects from Eni, all of which have extremely rapid development and production startup times in common.
